MHCF Celebrates One Year of Nashville Sites

In the first year since its launch, Nashville Sites is proud to have released six new walking tours and virtual tours. Now, you can:

-Explore Nashville’s earliest years as a frontier outpost to a river town and later state capitol on the “Early History” tour, written by Davidson County Historian Dr. Carole Bucy

-Learn about the campuses of two of the nation’s most prestigious HBCUs on the “Fisk University and Meharry Medical College” tour, written by Dr. Tara Mielnik of Cumberland University and Dr. Reavis Mitchell of Fisk University, for whom this tour is published in memory

-Discover some of Nashville’s hidden histories on the “Hidden Histories and Haunts” tour, written by Vanderbilt PhD student Kayleigh Whitman, Emory University student Bushra Rahman, and Harpeth Hall student Janet Briggs

-Take in some of the biggest hits and studios of Nashville’s recording industry on the “Historic Music Row” tour, written by Dr. Don Cusic of Belmont University

-Tap your foot to the diverse musical history of Nashville north of Broadway on the “Music in Music City (North Broadway)” tour, written by Tufts University student Olivia Olafsson
